AWARDS & HONORS

Scenic Houston recognizes the importance of forward-thinking visionaries who work together to preserve and protect the beauty of Houston. Our annual program and events are designed to honor and recognize Houston's most beloved treasures.

The Scenic Citizen program was launched in early 2019 to highlight individuals, organizations, and projects that help make Houston a more attractive place to live, work and visit.

Scenic Houston annually recognizes a community leader who has played a vital role in improving Houston’s appearance and image.  The list of past recipients is a who’s who of Houstonians that have dramatically improved our city.

Each year, Scenic Houston recognizes an organization or project that exemplifies our mission and vision to further beautify Houston. Past awardees have included the East River Project, Texas Medical Center, Hermann Park, and others. Each honoree is celebrated at our annual Star Reception.

Scenic Houston has reserved our Scenic Hero Award to honor the life of scenic pioneers who dedicated their work to the development and preservation of Houston and its surrounding areas.
